I heard a brilliant aside on the car radio the other day.
A bloke was described as the sort who “helped old ladies across the road whether they wanted to go there or not!” I laughed out loud.
But isn’t the current social media fetish a similar kind of thing? We are all desperate to get on the latest marketing trend. This is fine, and agreed there are some essentials that we all need to have, but communications still have to be relevant to your business, you still need a clear objective marketing strategy to define your message, and you still need good strong communications that are right for your audience.
It might just be that the latest trend is not appropriate for you. And like the old lady it might be a road you didn’t want to cross.
